Is there anybody out there who doesn’t yet know that SAA has launched a terrific mobile app for the Annual Meeting schedule the week of 11-17 August? Although it’s a web app rather than one that gets downloaded onto a mobile device, it has pretty much the same features, and the display conforms extremely well to the parameters of a smart phone. You just enter the URL into your phone’s browser, and, voilà, there it is.
I’ve been at a couple conferences this year for which scheduling apps were provided, and they’re really great! No more fiddling around with a paper program to remember where you wanted to go, look up times and locations, and all that. Once you start building your schedule by clicking on some of the events you plan to attend, the URL will open to your own schedule. Take a look at the incredible number of features available for display, search, and navigation. You’ll be hooked!
